Gus shoots 58.8% overall. Javes shoots 38.1%
Gus shoots 91.7% from the line. Javes shoots 32.8%
Gus averages .193 rebounds/minute. Javes averages .184.
Gus averages .073 turnovers/minute. Javes averages .078.
The ONLY place where Javes is on the plus side is blocks and maybe defense.
It is a real mystery to me. I have enough confidence in the coaches to think that there is a valid reason. It may be Javes' defense. I wish I knew, just out of curiosity, and so I could learn a little about the strategy coaches use.
I still think it has to do with Gus's injury. It might be they don't want to put too much stress on his foot. We are not privy to information the coaches are, so I trust their judgement.
Except for a three game stretch (USA, ULL, WKU) where had double figure minutes, Gus' playing time has been all been in the 4-8 minute range.

Doubt it has anything to do with his injury- other than maybe his conditioning not being where the coaches want it.
