Since you MT fans seem to have a good rivalry going with WKU, I'm wondering if they are who you would want as your first choice to replace Tulsa, if Tulsa does go to the BE.

I'm just a Marshall fan but they would be my first choice.
BUT, I think UTEP should be given the OPTION of whether or not they want NMSU as a travel partner. I know how the fans feel, but how does the school administration feel about that? I could care less about NMSU. If they would help keep UTEP happy then they should be first choice. If UTEP likes being isolated out there then I would LOVE to add WKU.
WKU would easily be my first choice IF it didn't mean that UAB had to go West. But since it does, I'd rather go with a team that fits in the west - Texas State, NMSU, etc.
Cajuns for me.
Folks that have not experienced Ragin Cajun tailgating are missing out.
Think "LSU" on a smaller and friendlier scale-- but still pretty large.
Love the trips to Acadiana, as well.
Lafayette is a decent sized city-- 125k or so.
Plus they'd easily fit in the West.

I'm fairly certain that the UTEP adminstration is doing everything, and I mean everything in its power to assist and promote NMSU as the next and newest member of......
the Sun Belt Conference!
If NMSU is brought in to C-USA look for UTEP to apply to the Sun Belt for membership. I may be stretching things but not by much.
If you're calling up an SBC team, ULL is my first choice.
But if you want a choice that wouldn't get LaTech's panties in a wad, you can't do better than WKU.

I would like to have ULL (or "Louisiana"). Good fans. Good football. Good peeps.
Strong no on WKU. We need new rivals like Marshall, UAB, ODU, or USM.
ULL would be my choice, if LaTech didn't object.
There's no team I enjoy beating more, so I'd say yes just to ensure they are on the schedule each season.

I thought it was ULM that would produce the wad of panties for La Tech. I guess ULL could do it too.
No to Western KY. I would rather have Georgia State than those guys.

Georgia Southern over Georgia State.
My preference, in order is: 1)WKU 2)NMSU 3)Texas State 4)Ark St 5)ULL
We can hate them just as easily in the Sun Belt.
I would try to pry Ohio or NIU from the MAC first.
Ohio would be my first choice. Rival for Marshall. One of two MAC schools closest to the south. Very balanced with established football and basketball programs. Also provide some entry into the Columbus market. But they were a charter member of the MAC and would probably be one of the most difficult schools to coerce.
NIU has a nice football history and provides entry to not only the Chicago market but the Midwest. With CBS Sports located with a major office in Chicago, could help future TV negotiations with them.
Western is always going to be there and could be on the short list in the future beyond that.
