Mike Morrow leaves behind a record that I doubt any coach in any sport will match: 14 consecutive MAC championships. No other MAC school has won a women's golf championship.

Quote:Mike Morrow announced his retirement as the head coach of the Kent State University women's golf team on Thursday, after 15 years that saw him lead the Golden Flashes to Mid-American Conference championships in all 14 seasons of the program's existence.

A Kent State University alum, Morrow became the program's first head coach in 1997. Since then, he has been a 10-time MAC Coach of the year, a two-time Central Region Coach of the Year and a Golfweek National Coach of the Year in 2001. He has also coached 13 MAC players of the year and 59 All-MAC honorees, including 39 All-MAC First Team selections.

Incredible job. And a great guy, as well. 04-bow
Wow, that is far beyond impressive, congrats to him and the golf teams he's coached. Hope he enjoys retirement.

CMU wrestling coach has 11 straight MAC championships. Until Mizzou was added I think a 12th straight was a shoo-in. Not so sure now.

Congrats to Morrow though.
