Saw on the ETSU website where the basketball teams are struggling mightily (at least to everyone out of a very weak conference).

But the men's tennis team just beat Oklahoma State and the women beat Wake Forest.

It should be mentioned that I do think it is unfortunate that so often the sports that draw fan bases are pitted against the ones that don't at ETSU. That is a product of how the program has been run for the last 10 years, however.

But frankly, instead of saying "good for them," it does speak of some disturbing symbolism of priorities, doesn't it?
I dont think that anyone can argue that Mullins was a very good thing for the minor sports. He spread the wealth around much more than most of us would have liked, more than more AD's would have, and more than it will be spread around in the future. I dont think that there is any doubt that is what his legacy is.

They have new facilities to play in, which is good for them and ultimately good for conference affiliation. These facilities will probably help in recruiting and hopefully we can now add football, improve basketball and also stay competitive in the minor sports as well.

Priorities. The Stanton-Mullins athletic model was a reverse of a normal state regional university athletic model. The fact that no other state regional university in
America followed ETSU and adopted this model speaks volumes about the stupidity
of it.

Finally, this is all about to change after a decade of incompetence, waste of precious resources, and abject failure.

the good news from that is that we won't have to go back and deal with that later...we can focus on football and basketball moving forward
