A little weak this year. Usually there is a handful of MAC grads. Only 1 MAC graduate this year (according to E$PN.com rosters).

sorry but Bernard Pierce played in the MAC his 3 years at Temple. So he counts.
Randy Moss
Former KSU Head Coach Dean Pees is the DC for the Ravens. He took that job after being the DC for 4 years at NE which I am sure was a big factor for them preparing to play the Pats yesterday.

For the record, most KSU fans liked Pees and thought he did a good job improving the program in his tenure. He definitely increased the talent level, but the wins never came. (And special teams were abominable.)

He also was DC under Nick Saban at Toledo and Mich. St, and worked for Holtz at ND.
Both of the head coaches are the sons of Jack Harbaugh. Jack played for Bowling Green and later served as an Assistant Coach with the Falcons.

oh God let's not count this loser, please!
John Harbaugh is a Miami graduate and former player
...And was a graduate assistant on his father Jack Harbaugh's staff at WMU.

So you want to ignore the greatest player ever to play in the MAC?? 03-drunk
Moss is a HOF player and one of the best MAC players ever. He definitely counts as one of ours even if off the field he's been a slimeball. Since when did the NFL care about character?
The Ravens' James Ihedigbo is a UMass grad, but never played in the MAC.

Yeah, it's a different thread for all the non-MAC players.

I like Moss, and consider him a great player who has brought bragging rights to the MAC. But Ealey and Roethlesberger might disagree w/ greatest player ever.
And maybe Hall of Famer Jack Lambert.

I wouldn't necessarily want to spend my vacation with Moss or have him as a roll model for my kids but I always had a lot of respect for him as an extremely talented player----they called him "the freak" for good reason.

I remember one of the talking heads on some program (probably ESPN) saying "of course Moss is tearing up MAC secondaries, but if he was playing regularly against SEC defenses it would be a different story". Then on Marshall's first possession in the 1st MCB against Old Miss, Pennington threw a pass to Moss along the sideline who out jumped the Old Miss corner and out ran him 40-50 yards -whatever it was for the score----and this Old Miss corner back was some SEC track champion!

So after spending a year beating lowly MAC DB, he went to the NFL and did the very same thing to NFL DB on his way to winning the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Award.
Was CJ Spillman one as a freshman

I'm sure the now defunct Atlantic 10 football conference is happy to count Ihedigbo as one of their own. hahaha.
Does Dean Pees, Defense Coordinator of the Ravens, and former head coach at Kent State count?

Dean Pees was also an assistant at Miami in the 80's, so he and John Harbaugh are helping extend the Cradle of Coachs reputation. A couple of years ago Sean Payton and over half his Saints staff were all members of Randy Walkers staff at Miami in the 90's.

Isn't the cradle of coaches thing about Miami graduates, not just coaches who coached there at one time?
