in fairness...that may be true at this moment in time but really...Gtown, Marquette, Nova have been really good. They have great coaches and will be good.

SJU, Prov, Hall will be ok.

Depaul will be Depaul

So only DePaul will be at/near the bottom in the new C7...and that the other 6 teams will all be good to great?

not what I said

I'm saying college teams have ups and downs. To look at the C7 as they are right now and assume this is how it will look every year is not wise. Gtown is not as good THIS year as they have been. Neither is Nova. Both have tremendous coaches and will be back. Marquette is good right now. These three programs will be the creme of the crop of the C7 I believe.

SJU has lavin and they have been recruiting well, so you gotta believe at some point they have a breakout year. Providence had a great recruiting class and SH has been on and off. So they will continue to be ok.

Depaul hasn't been good for a very very long time.

Add in Xavier, Butler, and VCU/Creighton and the C7 will be a great league.

that's what this was about..."at this moment in time". I was acknowledging that they don't look great right now. That doesn't mean they won't be great again. I think there are some great coaches in the C7 and the schools are committed to basketball.

anyway...it's all good
I think both sides will be fine. Both have schools with good basketball history and success and both have schools that are improving in basketball. They don't have football so basketball needs to be even better because its their only revenue maker.

Enjoy the NIT. Last time we were there we beat you with an average team with a roster cal gutted. Gluck in the c7 cellar.

Obviously comparing the worst nBE schools to the best c7 schools doesn't make much sense. You would really be comparing UConn to Gtown, UC to Marq, Memphis to STJ, and schools like ECU to DePaul at the bottom. It's pretty comparable if nBE lives.

Refresh my memory. Who won the last meeting between St. John and the Tigers ?........Thought so. Maybe you need to check yourself dude. Hate to tell ya, but St.John hasn't been relevant in college basketball since the dude with all the sweaters quit coaching there.

Comparing Memphis to St.Johns ? Really ? You've lost your freaking mind. What has St.Johns done lately ? They'd be more comparable to UAB in CUSA than Memphis.
Most of Memphis recent success was under Calipari...and that seemed to be a problem....vacating a Final Four...

Nah, we played the games. I was there and witnessed every one of them. Looking forward to future hoops and football games against the Cats.
