Alright, I read articles and forums from time to time trying to gather insight on conferences (especially those with higher status) and learn more about the universities amongst them. I have noticed a majority know absolutely nothing about Texas State this is due to my administration's failure to market the school. I figured I would spread some knowledge and brag on my Alma Mater, as well as, show some pictures of what we look like.

Locations
Texas State's main campus is in San Marcos, a growing community of 50,000 people in the Austin Metropolitan Area. Located in the Texas Hill Country, where blackland prairies roll into beautiful hills, Texas State enjoys a setting that is unique among Texas universities.
The beauty of the crystal-clear San Marcos River and the stately cypress and pecan trees on the campus add to the charm of the university’s picturesque setting. Our location on the banks of the San Marcos River provides recreational activities for students throughout the year.

San Marcos Campus
As the university's student population has grown — from 303 in 1903 to 34,225 in 2012. Today our main campus consists of a 457-acres and another additional 5,038 acres in recreational, instructional, farm and ranch land. Yeah, we are big people.

The Texas State campus is as diverse as the students who live and learn here. Our hilly grounds are home to 218 buildings. Some, like Old Main, are as old as the university itself. Others, such as the new Undergraduate Academic Center, opened in 2012 and more new buildings are scheduled for completion soon.

HONESTLY, it terms of dollar signs for the MWC powers that be....we are not better. San Antonio just has too large of a Hispanic Demographic that will enroll, commute, and land alot of minority grant money from the state.

Alright I'm going to lay off the marketing here for a bit. Here's another alright video. It starts strong, gets a little weak in the middle, and finishes strong.

Good stuff thanks!
