A fine young lady who is a double Tiger alum, bachelor's and masters in English, badly needs a job of almost any sort. It doesn't have to be teaching. I know her personally and can vouch for her intelligence, work ethic and outlook on life. If anybody knows of anything, please PM me or perhaps post a link. Thanks!
Uh......never mind. It's probably better if I don't respond to a request like this. Good luck in the search.

You wouldn't like the visual anyway.
Doesn't matter. I use paper bags when necessary.
Tipton County always needs teachers. Have her apply there. Probably no openings before next fall, but she might pick up a long-term sub job this year. This is the perfect time to get her application in for the next school year.

Thanks, you don't have the contact info do you?
Victory University is always seeking adjuncts in the Liberal Arts. Check out the website to see if they are hiring English or Lit instructors.
We've had a few openings at the company I work at but I know for a fact that they're only hiring folks with degrees in business.

Yeah, good idea, thanks Neil.

Thanks for thinking of it anyway.

Just another tip. She can apply in Fayette and Haywood Counties, too, but my understanding is that TC has both better salaries and better working conditions.

Thanks so much, I have sent this to her!

ESL teachers are always in demand, I am told, both in this country and abroad.

She is still looking. I mean, it's frustrating to see a very smart young lady with a freakin' Master's Degree from the U. of Memphis unable to get anything decent. I do thank you all for your suggestions and encouragement.
Blame it on the English Degree. I know how she feels. Which is sad because most of the people in my MBA classes write at a 1st grade level it seems like.

One other thought. Part-time work as a private English tutor is pretty lucrative, until something else comes along. I used to pay my children's tutors $60 an hour back in the '90's.

I'll mention it, thanks, it's a good idea.
