A nice article in today's Democrap about former Arkansas School for the Deaf basketball star Bennie Fuller. I saw him play several times and he is the best high school player I've ever seen. He had a picture perfect jump shot and was quick as a cat. He was amazing. He played for Houston Nutt, Sr. Bennie could have played for any high school in the state.

He was in town to attend cermonies naming the court after him at the School for the Deaf.
Did he play in college?

Yes, according to the paper, he played at Pensacola Junior College where he averaged 30 points a game his freshman year, and at UAPB. Coach Nutt told me one time that Bennie had problems communicating with his coaches and his teammates in college. He did get his degree.

While he is most remembered for scoring 102 points in a high school game in 1971, the article said he had a nine-game stretch in 1970 where he scored 98, 77, 65, 51, 50, 55, and 51 points.
That's awesome.
