Hopefully nBE stays pat at 10, MWC stays at 12 and no one goes anywhere until the next round of call ups. Which at this rate, B1G takes 2 more next month.

As a UTSA fan I'm excited to be playing Texas teams. If they leave we need to be right behind them. UTEP could be a nice rival. We traveled well last year @ Rice. Denton is a stone throw away.
I hope they can join now.

AND.......since no one can say no to the B.E. Commish', behind the scenes "co-B.E. commish", always connivin', back-stabbin' Gerald "turd in the punch bowl" Turner and the northern invasion, I'm sure Tulsa will probably have to be replaced to.

I hope the B.E. is as successful as the Ford Edsel or a Game Day crowd at Ford. It's like these people are fightin' to get on the Titanic or the Bismarck while tryin' to catch lightnin'g in a bottle from glories long past which is not going to happen at the Go5 level. AND..... 2 specific Texas schools going Big Least can forever forget the PAC 12 or Big 12--that is one of the all time NCAA pipe dreams and creator of huge belly laughs. (I had classes with 2 of former SMU HFC Hayden Fry's sons while at UNT and have a little more insight on the situation concerning SMU, subsequently).

I also hope the new B.E. TV revenus package is $10. 99 (yes, that's ten dollars and ninety-nine cents). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3R5gHF0vzew

And I hope the next 10 BCS bowlers from the Go5 are from every conference except the Big Least. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=end...30mG3JKzA8
That would be the sweetest poetic justice to those social clmbing whores who think they are something they haven't been for a long time. Is that plain enough or do I need to be more specific here?

Have A Nice Day!:)

PS: Hey SMU'ers, click my new avatar. That will show you what a burgeoning DFW Metroplex university with real, bonafide upside looks like. Only thing missing in this older pic is the new Pedestrian Bridge over Interstate I-35E from Fouts to Apogee.

GMG!
I'm about 95% confident we're moving. Just waiting for the final sign offs on all the legal stuff barring some unforeseen barrier, and that should be announced within the next week or two.

We have been negotiating the exit fee down, which is aiding FAU. I still put FAU at 50/50 right now, but if we get the exit fee down under $500K they may be able to do the same.
I would love to see it, we need to get them going and start moving on with things. I am ready to see some just plain old sports stuff instead of these corporate raiding type stuff.

This. MT will most likely be in CUSA for 2013, much to our happiness. I'm excited. I know our fan base will be pumped.

Does anyone know how much the new schools entry fees are?

I've heard $2m.

If MTSU is in for 2013, FAU will be in as well. There is no way we are staying in the Sun Belt as a lame duck by ourselves for one season. That doesn't make any sense for us or the Sun Belt. FAU and MTSU have been working closely on this.
Based on the fact that Banowsky has been openly talking about it getting done, I'd guess that its pretty much a done deal.

So 14 for this coming year. I wonder when they will announce divisions and such. I really hope that Marshall, Southern Miss & UAB remain in the same division.
Would welcome them. Also would like ULL and Ark State in CUSA. Both have better football programs than teams leaving.

Nope...we want Tulsa in the BE...I would also add VCU to counter Navy football.

12 football teams...12 basketball teams.

With Memphis, UConn, Cincy, Temple, and VCU you've got a good core of basketball teams.

Each school has to collect and get filled 10 of these booklets as agreement to join their new conf:

Might as well

Looking forward to next year. Hopefully the Eastern schools get some nice ooc wins and represent well in the championship game.

Banowski will be paying you before it's all over, seeing how he thinks it is such a burden to be a member of C-USA, and how he encourages his members to get out in order to better themselves.

Everything I've read has VCU lobbying to get in with the Catholic 7. They might consider it if they can't get in with them or if they decide they would leave the A10

If I'm the C7 I don't want to go past 9 or 10 (for scheduling reasons) everything I've read says the main targets are: Xavier, Butler, and St. Louis

But even if VCU got picked...take UMass "other sports"...the A-10 wouldn't be nearly as attractive without Xavier, Butler, and VCU. (Plus the Temple/UMass rivalry)

11 all-sport members...Navy football/UMass other sports...12 football...12 basketball

Moreover, UMass could eventually move to the BE for football should we ever decide to go to 14.

I not a 100% on this, but I don't think you can have football in one FBS conference and your other sports in another, so if the nbe wants Umass, its going to have to take all of Umass.
^ someone said that on the MAC board so I think that's right...guess it will be 12 football...11 all-sports with #12 being either SDSU or Tulsa.

I guess we will go with a 20 game conference schedule...everyone plays twice (just guessing on that)
