Tell us, Mr Herbstreit....were ND and Oklahoma more deserving than NIU based on their competitiveness in their bowl games? At least NIU was competitive well into the 3rd qtr of their bowl game.

He will tell you, yes, they were more deserving. Mr. Herbstoker was blinded by one result, Iowa, and explained away the fact that a 8-5 Wisconsin team was more deserving than a 12-1 NIU team based on Strength of Schedule. Never mind Wisconsin's early season performance and narrow win over FCS Northern Iowa 26-21. So in Herbie's world, a MAC team would never be deserving. Ever.

But one thing that Herbie can't explain away about Strength of Schedule of individual leagues. Actual Results:

Number of 9+ win teams by conference:
SEC - 7 (obviously a strong league)
MAC - 5 (what? that can't be, we suck, right?)
Pac 12 - 4
Big 12 - 3
Big East - 3
Mountain West - 3
Big 10 - 3 (obviously deserving of a 8-5 Wisc BCS bid based on SOS, right?)
ACC - 2
CUSA - 2
Sun Belt - 2
WAC - 2
Herbstreit is an idiot and their is a lot of B.S. built into the strength of schedule argument.
