They won't be kicking the dog.

Listening to the endless bragging is going to suck, though.

Should be used to it by now.
It will be three months before it is safe to listen to any sports radio in town.
Might as well be an unwatchable blowout against one of the darlings of the BCS. The reality is that even if they try to separate the haves (BCS 5) from the have-nots (Big East, C*USA, MWC, MAC, SB), there will always be a few (UAT, LSU) that will fly so far under the radar in a corrupt system that even the haves will struggle to compete. Give living stipends? Kids will still go to the school with Cadillacs and hookers.

Maybe this can be a wake-up call.
Eh, between my mp3 player, and internet streaming, I can pretty much block out 98% of the crap.

Besides, I'm watching the 2000 L$U game, and my, but Nicky Saban is an angry little gnome.
Most of these bammer, gaytor, and so called big boy school fans live their teams 24/7 and are goofs in the real world. When their idols lose a game they get depressed call in at work, beat animals, etc.

Not really. There's recruiting talk, spring football game, who's coming in for the Summer, and then the season starts over gain...
Our recruiting just got better. You will now need to be a 6 star recruit to play for Nicky the Gnome.

I've been in the midst of it at work already. Didn't even turn my car radio on during my commute. I knew what the subject was going to be and I'd not had my breakfast yet.
The new slogan there could be - come to our school & get a hot Auburn chick.

That is a good thing because you might have lost your breakfast.

At least most of the trees in this state are safe for a year.
At least the ones on our campus.
I'm thinking the Duke effect will hit Alabama on a national basis, now that they are in dynasty mode. The media will fawn all over them, but the general public will grow sick of them and turn on them. Eventually the media will catch up and look for dirt on them in a true "build them up, teat down them down" scenario. That is where it could benefit UAB when it comes to the disparity of funds divvied out.
nick and UAT are a Lance Armstrong waiting to happen

God I hope you're right.

Man, that would be poetic justice.

I use to be a Lance Armstrong fan. It's why I have a bicycle.

I've never, ever been a fan of UAT.

I think that was the joke.

Funny that you put it that way:

http://espn.go.com/college-football/stor...eport-says

Quote:While other major sports have been beset by revelations of steroid use, college football has operated with barely a whiff of scandal. Between 1996 and 2010 -- the era of Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire, Marion Jones and Lance Armstrong -- the failure rate for NCAA steroid tests fell even closer to zero from an already low rate of less than 1 percent.

Quote:At Notre Dame and Alabama, the teams that will soon compete for the national championship, players don't automatically miss games for testing positive for steroids. At Alabama, coaches have wide discretion.
