NKU 2012-2013 Schedule

NKU 2012-2013 Roster
Who in the hell came up with this headline? Are you kidding me?

http://www.etsubucs.com/#/mbasketball/ne...-kentucky/
The Bucs are currently 332nd and 304th nationally in scoring and rebounding respectively; the Norse are 339th and 322nd in these respective categories. Aside getting rolled by Ohio State by 27, their other games have been close.

NKU is led by Nebraska transfer Eshaunte Jones. The 6'5" swingman averages 13.5 and 3.7. After Jones is 6'6" forward Jalen Billups (10.3 & 5.7) and 6'4" Chad Jackson (9.3 & 4.9). Ethan Faulkner runs the point for NKU (6 ppg, 4 rpg, 3 apg).

Go Bucs.

Why are you objecting to "Buccaneers make first trip to NKU?"

I didn't see any sugar coating in either the headline or story.

ive gotta cut them some slack for the ohio state game. its there 1st year transitioning to d1,,,,,,,,,3 to go, and theyre playing at ohio state. nku keeping the game within 30 at ohio state, to me, is pretty impressive. if they have the same result 10 years from now, then they have a problem. besides, at least its not as bad as a 50 point loss at home to another mid major.

heres something we can all get used to starting with this game,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,"bezolds mastery over bartow"

coach remarks after loss to usc up,,,,,,,,listen to what he says and HOW he said it

my fave line,,,,,,,,,"lets get these fans involved, get them involved with something to chear for"

in the clip, at the 3:30 mark is something we have not seen in the bartow era that i can remember...at least not on a consistant basis. its just a simple swing around the the perimeter without hesitation. low and behold...an open shot.

yikes...thats a pretty damning article. i would have issue with hodge writing such a negative piece...that is if were not all true.
Should be a good game tonight, I am really stoked to get to go! Here are some team stats comparisons.

NKU- PPG 56.2 (177th) OPPG 61.3 (48th) RPG 30.3 (323rd) APG 12.3 (218th)
ETSU- PPG 57 (173rd) OPPG 70.9 (128th) RPG 31.2 (304th) APG 9.7 (331st)

I cant comment on ETSU but after watching almost all of NKUs games I think NKUs 3 point shooting, defense and inside play by Jalen Billups will be keys to the game. If NKU plays well in those 3 areas they are a pretty tough team.

wow,,,,,,,,,,a couple of observations here,,,,,,,,,,

1, not 1 single thing in that article is news to any one of us. right down to the team stats, one poster or another has provided every one of those tidbits on this board. makes me wonder where hodge does his reading

2, i dont understand where a loss is a step in the right direction. that sounds like tennis coach speak to me. heres my usual speculate,,,,,,,,what kind of coach would bartow be if he had a better boss?

Bartow said at Lipscomb, nevertheless calling the loss “a step in the right direction.”
its possible we may go 0-2 tonight. lady bucs just lost 90-79 to usc up. nku lady norse just beat usc up 70-62

things not relating to much of anything,,,,,,,,,,
1, there coach is kinda cute, in a sternly focused coach kind of way
2, checkout the left arm tats on their number 23! she must be their enforcer
3, chekcout the baseline drive w/reverse layin by their number 10 around the 1:40 mark,,,,,,,,,,pretty cool
4, both coach and player are stoic,,,,,,,,,pretty funny
5, unfortunately, the last answer in the interview may be somewhat telling

This isn't a negative piece.

It is disturbing that for much of what passes for Tri-Cities sports journalism, simply reciting stats and the team's won-loss record would be considered "negative." Heaven forbid anyone ever write about David Crockett High School!!

I mean, what's the strongest thing Hodge says in the piece? "First, the Bucs just to win a game?"

Gee, who knew?

Scandal! Assassin! Libel! Negativity abounds!

Please.

Then again, perhaps I shouldn't consider writing critiques from someone who cannot handle the most basic capitalization skills.

Yep, looks like Bartow is after Leroy's record. ETSU needs ..........

First, a real Athletic Director
Second, a new football coach
Third, a new men's basketball coach
Fourth, a new women's basketball coach
Fifth, a new baseball coach
Sixth, spend the money in the above first through fifth order

The board thinks Kemp has run her course?
Appears to be a sparse crowd at the Bank of Kentucky Center. The empty seats look real nice, though.
Anybody else having problems getting the feed?
The quality stinks but no issues. Try closing down your browser and restarting it. That's worked for me with WatchESPN alot.

What browser are you using? I had trouble getting the video player to work in Chrome, but it works fine in IE
