If anybody cares, North Dakota State beat Sam Houston State again for the second straight year.
Not surprising, they were without a doubt the most complete team in fcs
The what? Haha
It's sad how little exposure FCS football garners with the national media.

The Championship game on 1 PM on ESPN2, while on ESPN at that same time you had Ole Miss beating down Pittsburgh. They would have been better off having this game on Friday night on ESPN because they can't do Saturday night or Sunday because of NFL playoff games.

The only FCS playoff game that was shown on ESPN was our game vs. Georgia Southern, at least we got huge national exposure out of our final FCS game, and I have a feeling that won't be the last time we'll be playing on ESPN, but that may be the last home game on ESPN for a while though.

Yesterday's game actually got a color photo in the sports section of my local newspaper (The Star-Ledger, Newark, NJ) today.

We had one sentence in my paper mentioning it mixed in with random college football notes. (Daily Press)
If anyone has any questions about our move.
Note also that the ODU/GaSo was the highest rated FCS game of 2012/2013 season!

Ahead of two bowl games too, it doesn't matter that they were blowouts.
We obviously move the needle. We're the highest rated FCS playoff game this season, and also ahead of 2 bowls. If I were Wood, I'd leverage that into a larger share of the next CUSA TV package, a la Boise State...(sarcasm)...
No one cares about IAA/FCS what ever you call it now, except for those who have schools in that division. Except if you are like me and had a school in IAA at one time. I still look for a IAA or DII to watch if Marshall or a CUSA school isn't playing and that includes playoff and championship games.

The last time the championship game was done right was in 1996. Montana vs Marshall, it was on a Sat and started at 4:30. It was on ESPN and there was no other sports on at the time. The game drew a 2.3. And had 32K in the stands.

I give it 5 years at the most and the playoffs and championship game will be an exclusive to ESPN3.
