Will the national writers rail about how Oklahoma doesn't rate to play in an important Bowl. Currently getting run out of the Cotton Bowl 41 - 13. Not.
And Oklahoma should be playing in the Orange Bowl... 03-lmfao

And the argument that NIU didn't deserve the OB bid over Oklahoma was flawed, as well. The only reason Oklahoma was a possibility to make the OB was because of a different technicality - no more than 2 teams per conference allowed in BC$ games. The media and Oklahoma fans had SERO reason to complain about Oklahoma not making the OB.

And I bet Sumlin is glad he went to A&M instead of Illinois. SMART MAN!
Sumlin has plenty of southwestern and midwestern ties, he would've done fine at Illinois. Had he taken the job there, I'm sure he would've taken the average Zook talent and taken them to somewhere like the Gator Bowl, though I'm sure he's a lot happier at A&M than he would be up here. You don't get players like Johnny Football very often.
This was not a good bowl season for whoever puts these matchups together, especially the bowls played on 1/1 and later. The GoDaddy, Rose & Outback are the only 3 decided by less than 10 pts. MWC finished 1-4 with Boise eaking out a win over 7-5 Wash U for that conferences only win. Big 12 teams lost 4 games by 14 or more pts (14, 18, 24 & 28) and the Oregon KSU game was not nearly as close as the final would indicate at Oregon had a 32-10 lead at the start of the 4th quarter.

So obviously KSU, Oklahoma, WVA shouldn't have received those bids, afterall we can't have piddling conferences getting bids to game they didn't earn and lay an egg on the field while embarrassing their conference on national tV now can we?05-stirthepot
