Okay...We're far enough ahead in the new year for me to post this, I think.

Which thread or threads, IYO, were the best, most provocative, intriguing and memorable thread topics posted here at Blazertalk last year?

My vote for best thread goes to: "The Night Before Stachemas!"
Any thread that brought back the hilarity of BlazerSax.
This was the longest thread of 2012, that wasn't a game thread on the main board.

Best thread of 2012, hands down:

The saddest was any thread associated with Coach Bartow's death and the tribute at the Memphis game. It was one year ago this week. We miss you, Coach.
I think that the longest may have been totally not Blazer related but a distraction from the horrible year.

Gotta give it to you, you picked 3 very emphatic threads to speak of.
A little self-serving, sure...

But I think this thread was a pretty good one as the reactions brought up real thoughts on the effects of message boards on college athletes.

A thread where most of us congratulated you on an article you wrote? Yes, that is definitely self serving. 03-lmfao

Hence why I said it, my friend. But I think the discussion about how student athletes are influenced by message board posters is an important one to have.
Some of the reactions to Tulane going to the Big East are probably worthy of mention.

My vote for best thread goes to: "The Stache Before Xmas"...

Do you want to separate threads in different forums? Like best in the GBMF, best in Political, best in B&G, best in BOTD (while it lasted), etc? Best overall?
The carrot-sex thread on the CUSA board was beyond description. It even spawned its own smiley (one named for the lady in question, even):

COGSCOGSCOGSCOGSCOGSCOGSCOGSCOGSCOGSCOGSCOGS

That thread was best thread of the Internet.

It is also the single reason that Marshall has not been invited to the Big East. Marshall keeps insisting that they be included for all sports including swimming. The Big East is saying, No, not until she graduates.

This was my first thought when I saw the title/intent of this thread, but it's not technically a BlazerTalk thread.
