Hopefully Purdue can finally be sucessful again. Also even if this is old news. I'm just checking to see if anyone on this forum is still alive.

I had forgotten that Purdue fired the football coach. Who was the HC for the bowl game?

It was Patrick Higgins, the WR Coach.
Hazell is a very good coach. I think you guys made a great decision.
I believe that Darrell Hazell is slowly, but surely turning the program around. We are so much better than we were last year, but we have trouble closing out games. We should honestly have at least 4 or 5 wins by now especially with the Minnesota game, but alas we are 3-6.
Ugh... 3-9. We should have been 5-7 (or even 6-6) with wins over Minnesota, Indiana, and Central Michigan. We have a long to go to being good, and I don't know if that can happen with John "Sloppy" Shoop calling our offensive plays. Look at how horrendous our offense has been for these last two years, if we can't compete middle of road MAC teams, how can we compete in the Big Ten?

Don't know what kind of crack you or me were smoking when he was hired.
Always fun to see old post and see what outlandish claims were made. It's even better when they seemed reasonable at the time. The hope of Hazell raising up Purdue hasn't happened and looks like it won't.

Yea, Hazell was up and coming a few years back. Now, he's on the downswing. And its not like Purdue is historically some football graveyard either, just on hard times.
