Give us a scouting report on WKU, please.
They're good.

And their women are too. I'm afraid we might lose both games to them this week.

I don't know... I hate talking about WKU sports... Oh I suppose I could.

Two main stories for WKU this year.

1. We started the season off in a major shooting slump. We have finally pulled out of that. We started off the North Texas game by hitting 5 out of our first 6 shots. When Our shots are falling we will be tough to beat.

2. Injuries. TJ Price was the one guy early that we could count on hitting shots. He had a high ankle sprain and missed about three games. He is still not 100% but seems to be getting back to form.

Caden Dickerson also injured his shoulder and has been out for a while. He was not shooting well at all before the injury but he would have started hitting them eventually.

Jamal Crook broke his foot. He is out for a while. He was our starting point guard and our second leading scorer.

Brandon Harris had a pulled hamstring I believe. He has been playing through it and shining at that. He fell and hit his head the other night and had a concussion. So we haven't heard if he will play Thursday or night. If he is not then that is a HUGE blow. Harris has been an absolute beast for us lately and we just don't have that much margin for error right now.

Bottom line with the injuries is that we do not have a lot of depth right now, but having to play without some starters is making us a better team. Guys that were minor role players are developing quickly into stars. Guys that were bench warmers are becoming solid role players.

Harris if he plays is tough as nails, can drill NBA threes and rebounds well. He just plays hard and smart.

George Fant was a big part of our run last year, he started slowly this year but is really picking up steam.

TJ Price can drive to the basket or hit the three. He was starting to look like his old self against North Texas.

Percy Blade is a walk on freshman that has been getting some minutes due to the injuries. He is doing fairly well so far. Possibly our best free throw shooter right now.

Teng Akol is capable of being very effective. His ability as a shot blocker causes teams to alter their shots and miss just because of the threat of his shot blocking. Oh, and don't let the 6'11" part fool you. He can shoot threes. He will burn you if you leave him open out there.

Kevin Kaspar was injured for the second half of last year, and had some major rust to shake off at the beginning of this season. He is a gritty player and can hit the three ball.

WKU will play two point guards most all of the game. Harper was a point guard in college and he values them highly. We will play a zone most of the game, and press sparingly. The press usally comes at a critical point in the game and is usually effective.

We are passing pretty well, we are starting to run some back door cuts and are getting pretty good at passing to the weak side for open shots and driving into a zone and kicking out.

The general concensus among WKU fans is that a "freight train" is coming. Right now, we are "just okay". But you see the progress and you see how young this team still is and you can't help but think that by March when we get healthy... this is going to be a VERY good team. And we are a team that will mostly be intact for the next couple of years.

Let me know if you want any other specifics. 04-cheers
Good to hear other teams aren't progressing. We got this.

Great scout.
