The best.

Heart does an amazing version of Starway.

Cool....fitting and emotional tribute to The Best.
I caught it on the tube, and it was pretty damn good.
Yea, it was a fitting song for celebratory purposes. But most Led Zep fans wouldn't even put Stairway to Heaven in their top 20 best songs.

It's also ironic that the female Wilson sisters did that. Robert Plant and co. had only one female vocalist out of all the songs they sang.

Who was she, and what song was it?

Sandy Denny, Battle of Evermore

Where in Memphis were several Led Zeppelin songs/tracks recorded?
Not just the name of the recording studio but the address as well.

Ironically, Stairway wasn't the first time Heart (playing as the Lovemongers) covered some Zep.

Ardent Studios on National, it was the home to many cuts by ZZ Top and many, many others also.

Yep, 1457 National which is diagonally across the street from Hardaway's Sweeden Cream. It is now a Mexican convenience store. I stopped there one day and talked to the owner and told him about the building and he looked at me with the "what the hell are you talking about" look on his face. He did not know who or what Led Zeppelin was. So I told him Menudo recorded there and he freaked.

Lifelong Led Zep fan and Stairway is in my top 3 or 4, I don't think I'm in the minority.
I had just turned on the tube and didn't even know it was on. Caught it at the very beginning and thought it was GREAT. I was impressed with Kid Rock [a first for me] he really did a nice job.
I was VERY impressed with all of them. The singer for Foo Fighters wasn't all that great, imo, but everyone did a really solid job. Seeing Robert Plant have "eye sweats" was powerful. And, I have to give Michelle Obama props, she was rockin' out!!!
The smiles on Jimmy Page's face said a lot too. Great tribute to a GREAT band.
