Ladies are a bit outmatched though. But keeping it close.
Lady Monarchs are only down two!!! 23-21 A&M with about 5 mins to play in the first half. Looking okay for right now. SOLID to have kept with the Aggies this far. Second half worries me, but this first has been a statement.
A&M is storming ahead again. 30-22 A&M with about three minutes left in the half.
It's pretty much the Kelsey Bone show. We have to figure out a stop for her.
It's amazing how just ONE big in women's basketball can transform an entire program.
But the LM are full of energy and doing everything in their ability to win this game. The energy level alone is very entertaining.
...and that's game: 78-55 A&M. The Lady Monarchs showed a lot of guts in this game and they will only get better from here. They get to go another round with UNLV tomorrow in the 3rd place game.

wish they could at least get to play a different team.
We made two good runs in the second to cut it to 5 twice, and they would answered. The bench Technical was very costly, a real mo killer. Our best player Jackie was dehydrated and had to go to the hospital, hope she recovers quickly. Next game is tomorrow against Alabama A&M at 3:30.
An eight-team bracket would have done the trick, but they went for the asymmetrical six-team bracket instead.
I would have preferred Kansas State, but at least we didn't get Alabama A&M.
We play Alabama A&M tomorrow.
Even when with a win against Alabama A&M, it will not be good for our SOS. It could hurt our RPI actually.
I was hoping that we'd get at least two more quality games on the schedule to help our SOS.

Maybe I was looking at the wrong bracket...oh well, my mistake. Another game, another opportunity for the Lady Monarchs to improve.
