Well, I think it's been quite a while since ODU had one of these...

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK:
Aaron Bacote • Old Dominion
Fr., G, 6-5, 175 - Hampton, Va./Bethel
Bacote scored a career-high 19 points in Old Dominion’s narrow 75-71 setback to UCF last Friday. The freshman guard was 6-of-11 from the floor, including a blistering 6-of-8 from three-point range. Bacote had only made seven treys in the Monarchs’ first nine games prior to his effort against UCF. He also dished out three assists in the contest.

We need some good news. Hopefully we can get a win tonight.
Yea - Rookie accolades are a rare event for ODU - typically these guys would be red-shirting - obviously not the case now. Bright side - young guys gaining valuable experience for the future. 2 tough roadies this week. A split would be great. Charleston is reeling from some bad losses. Our guys are getting close to clearing the hump. Go Monarchs!
Good news indeed. This team continues to work hard and remain positive. That is a sign of leadership. Good luck to the team tonight.
Bacote was a nice recruit and is a great kid. We're going to be proud of him when he's done at ODU. Great job...
Bacote can flat out shoot. I am hoping that we run more plays to get him open.
