I wonder if dave ramsey would consider their entry and exit fees of 10 mill to be Stupid tax?
"The Big East has now become the Big Deceased"

LOL
Oh this will be a fun thread

We all have these hanging on our windows right now.

BIANCHI is a fool.
Egos and pride from the school administrators (not posters of said school) will prevent any return of programs that accepted an BE invite this year.
LOL!!!

In before ESPN, CBS, Brett McMurphy and now Mike Bianchi are all trying to undermine the Big East.

In before the delusional "we will only have to pay $500k" argument.

In before the logic-defying "the money will be much, much greater than C-USA, so it's totally worth it" argument.

This turd has been polished so hard for so long, all that's left are the undigested peanuts.
About the article itself, more of an editorial piece and Bianchi left out some important tidbits. All in all though, he painted a very accurate picture of the current BE situation.

Well that and the fact that C-USA has already backfilled all the openings. Teams aren't going to be uninvited and C-USA isn't going to go to 18-20 schools.
Harsh realities. But that article held nothing back& made their situation seem dire at best. I didn't think it was all that bad, even if the FB schools stuck together.

but many of you thought the NBE was or is going to, and as long as your school was involved, it made perfect sense, but now that things have changed AGAIN, it's just crazy talk.

I don't think any league is getting above 16 anytime soon. I think that's the max the Big East (or whatever it will be called) will go to.
If we didn't have a an On campus stadium and large revenue stream from athletic fees I would be worried. UCF will be fine as I think we are in a much better league than cusAA (cusa only gets $1m per team per year and all of the bell cows have jumped ship) worst case we get $3-5M/yr and I would guess we end up in the ACC when all of the shake ups are done

Umm... no; to either $3-5M/yr and the ACC

BB would crawl on his hands and knees down Beale Street to get Memphis back in C-USA.

He'd crawl for the fball schools.
That just reads like an ill-informed, thrown-together local newspaper piece.

I'd love to think that CUSA really is in a position of power, but the fact that some Disneytown hack who probably doesn't even like UCF says it counts for little IMO.

And the fact Bano didn't wait to backfill tells you he had no intentions of allowing any school leaving CUSA back into the conference. You make your bed, you lie in it. CUSA will be better off and you guys will be better off and everyone will be happy.......until next Tuesday.
