We are kind of a mini cradle of coaches yet we do not win. We actually have had some good assistant coaches pass through Ypsilanti throughout the years.

Something tells me that coaches = winning isn't that simple.

Many schools win despite mediocre coaches and many school lose despite good coaches.
I loved the Rasnick years (probably explains my fondness for Genyk). They were my years at EMU. I know the formations were slightly different, but we were basically a passing spread before it ever became vogue. We were Texas Tech before Texas Tech.

I always felt that he should have been given more time...
This is wrong. Monken was hired at Southern Mississippi, not Mississippi State. Mississippi State is coached by Dan Mullen.MSU went 8-4 this past year.

Southern Mississippi went 0-12 under first year coach Ellis Johnson, who was subsequently fired.

Southern Mississippi is a CUSA school that boasts Brett Favre as an alumnus. Miss State is known for cowbells and for being the first SEC school to hire a coach who is black.(Sylvester Croom)
