Since it looks like this divorce is happening I think we should SPLIT the name.
Football Schools get to keep "BIG"
and C7 gets to keep the "EAST" part of the name.
Thoughts??

I'd rather let them keep the name, for a price of course, and the FB conference bring the Metro name back from the dead. The Big East name for football has been dragged through the mud, and makes no sense anymore since the league won't be an east coast league anyway. The Metro Conference has some history behind it, some of the teams in the league were in the old metro, and the name for the most part fits what the league will be.
Is the name Metro just floating out there? or does some one own it?

I don't know for sure, but some of us former metro conference members might have a problem with that, maybe just for spite..
