Just got a glossy postcard pushing nye bash at Jungle Island in Miami, the purchase of tickets at NIUhuskies.com and the pregame reception at the stadium. Nice looking postcard.

http://myniu.com/

I am assuming this went to Fla/ga alums or maybe all alums.

GO HUSKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got an email for that. Looks interesting, though I would think they'd end the evening outside rather than in a big ole ballroom. Wonder if there's a dresscode?

I would assume there is. I was thinking of going to the Jungle Island thing, but I may instead go out for a nice dinner and then spend the rest of the evening in my hotel room, with my own dress code - or lack thereof.

Only if there was an "O" in NIU.....
Then someone could get the butthole tatoo.

I guess someone could get N"o"rthern Illinois
tatoo but that would require a good size butt.

Okay, that does it. I'm definitely staying in my room. I may not even go out to dinner now. I'll order room service and make the guy show 5 forms of ID before I unlock the door.

I thought I was getting away from this lunacy crap by leaving Chicago! 03-weeping

I hope someone does not create a page like that for Illinois.

I'm just sayin'.
Wow. Enough to make Jerry Springer blush.

BTW DF, "dress code" doesn't mean you have to wear a dress.

In my case, yes. Which is why I am thinking about going. I have some dresses that would really make you stand at attention.
Not sure if you guys are up to your normal shenanagins but my email says the dress code is:

Dress for this event is spirited business casual.
To me that's an oxymoron. Either business casual or spirited, but that's just me.

I have no freakin' clue what "spirited" business casual is. Is that business casual with a small talisman showing NIU spirit? Is it business casual with spirits spilled all over it? Is it business casual that is haunted by spirits? I'm VERY confused! Maybe I'll just call Shelley and wear whatever she's wearing.

Jerry Springer does live part time in Sarasota. He's actually, reportedly, a very nice guy.
