That had to have been the most unwatchable game of women's basketball ever.
I kind of want to see a replay of it personally... It'd be funny to watch.

And that would be saying a lot!
I did read that the two schools cancelled the other scheduled game btw the two teams. No need for a repeat.
How about the coach of the losing team? Some of this falls on her/him as well. They should at least have had a running clock the second half. If this is typical of how bad the one team is, they need to examine whether they should have a varsity team at all. If they are going to be humiliated, you can prevent it. If they want to play anyway, then let them. I'd be interested to know how many shots they took.

Wow, even with the assumed disparity in talent, how do not score one bucket in an entire whole game?
I have to believe that if 5 random posters here suited up against #1 Indiana, we'd score more than 0 points. I'm talking only single digits or so, and purely by luck and accident by heaving it up there. But zero?
Not even a bucket, but two separate free throws.
No one, especially a sub, should be asked to tone down their game.
The story I read said the losing team pressed and trapped the whole game. What are you supposed to do when the other team is playing that way...just hold the ball and wait to be double-teamed?

hope my number would not be drawn for the 'game' vs. Indiana.
I would go out and practice screening though to help my teammates score a bucket.

What's more humiliating? Losing by a 105, or having your opponent purposely avoid scoring and essentially stop playing, and still lose by 80?
Usually the uproar concerning these blowouts that happen year after year (usually in girls Bball) comes from parents, coaches, and anonymous internet posters, not the players themselves. I think if you asked the losing team what they'd prefer 99% of the time they'd prefer the winning team to keep playing. It's much more embarrassing to know your opponent is simply toying with you while still beating you by 100 points.
If administrators, parents and the coach have issues with it, don't schedule the game, put in a running clock rule, or forfeit.

+100
"Playing keepaway" is not playing the sport.
If a coach stops a team from running its offense or playing good defense, what exactly is the point of playing the game?
