Final thought on #CUBUFFS: I can say w/100% certainty both sides agreed to deal hours before story leaks...w/in that windowTennessee calls

He is on with Mo Egger right now. Says deal was done and was leaked, then
Butch & Co got super mad.
That guy has been fighting all day long to protect his reputation. He's the same one who said yesterday, definitively, that CBJ didn't go to Charlotte... after CBJ had already been photographed at the Belk Bowl press conference.

These people are all hacks.
His rep went up in smoke yesterday. He should eat more cheetos before tweeting
Hack didn't say deal was close, he said it was done, now his cred is shot.

I think the Denver Post reporter said the same thing. A verbal deal might have been agreed to, we will never know I guess.
yeah ,pardon me if I dont believe a flying flip what he says.
Gotta give this clown credit. He should be hiding with is tail between his legs but he's going down swinging. Mo shouldn't have wasted his time putting this guy on the air.
I posted this a few days ago, but I was told by someone who's family donates a lot of money to UC that Colorado is amateur hour. The pic of Jones leaving behind the food cart was at Jones request, because he was pissed off. The CU administration invited, and allowed, photographers to follow Jones around campus, take pictures of his meeting with Solich and a lot of other things. He got aggrevated and finally left and asked security to block him when walking out because the AD staff wouldn't call off the photographers. Then, on top of it, the photogs followed Jones and his family back to the airport, to take more pics. There was no professionalism in the interview process at all.

CU leaking a false story to the Denver Post was the last straw, and he told them to F off. It had nothing to do with Tenessee or Wisconsin, and everything to do with CU being a bunch of jackasses. Not surprising, they sound like a bunch of clowns. Probably why that program sucks to much, it's run by incompetent dbags.

It is called damage control. He looks like a total a$$. I can't imagine if CBJ really really wanted that job, that the leak would've caused him to back out. When this thing went beyond 24 hours it was clear something was not right and that if was going to accept, he would have simply met with the team Tuesday or Wed at the latest and then been out to Boulder to be announced. They can say this or that, but clearly no deal was consummated and either someone leaked it to force his hand one way or another or someone had bad info. But if he was going to go, it would have happened sooner than 6 pm yesterday.

If he was so pissed and taken aback by the lack of professionalism why did he not immediately take his name out of the running. did he really want the money that badly or to get out of Cincy that he seriously entertained putting up with that circus as you describe it?

Supposedly he was still considering it because of the conference situation, and the money. I guess it wasn't worth putting up with it, in the end.
plus he was able to leverage the situation into increased compensation for himself and his staff.
