if i was a player, i'm not sure i'd want him to stick around. i'd be more like, just pull the band-aid off quickly so the pain will stop faster. but that's just me!

Incredible especially as Kent has such a late bowl date.
If you watched those clips all year, you know he just wanted to be there to see it through and his players probably wanted it too. It would be nice if the coaching changes could wait till after bowl season; I am gonna miss Hazell in this league.
If he can pull it off, more power to him, but I just have to think that between now and Jan. 6, both Purdue and Kent need a 100% commitment. I am not trying to throw cold water on a feel good story, but I gotta think that either Kent or Purdue (and probably both) are not going to get 100% during the next month---it is mathematical impossibility.
I really hope he can manage to do that. I hate to see MAC coaches leave but I've finally come to grips with our position within CFB and can accept it. Pure class on his part for not leaving his team hanging like that.
His departure has been the opposite of Geno Ford's, hopefully we are able pull our buyout $$$ and not tie it up in litigation.
