Buying thru BG website they are $13 including the ticketmaster fee.
That's cheaper than LV bowl 20 years ago.
Anyway, I think there is an option to buy tix to donate to local military families, if you can't make it to the bowl, please consider that. It's not outrageously expensive.

actually it may cost more to take the subway and pay subway parking than the ticket.

I was actually in DC last year and forgot about the bowl, but ran into some people who were spreading freebies all over town. Had I had time to adjust my schedule I would've been happy to take the game in.
If tix are that cheap (hell, even if they aren't THAT cheap) I totally encourage BG fans and students to go! I am a UT student and made the drive with 5 others last year, we all had a great time. There is plenty to do and see besides the game itself and the price is very manageable. Go MAC!
