Please buy from our ticket office we have 17,500 to sell!
We need to sell these tickets or we may never get this opportunity again. Contact your friends in Florida, if they can go great, have them call our ticket office.

We need to sell sell sell and make this the biggest fundraiser in NIU history.
On the slight chance I won't be able to go. I'll be buying tickets through the ticket office and donating them and maybe keep one of myself for memorabilia
I am kind of concerned about how they will distribute tickets. They are using the "points" system like they do for Soldier Field. I am wary of spending literally thousands of $$ for 4 of us to be there...and risk having crappy seats.

It is kind of scaring me. Coming up with that kind of money is going to be tough...if we end up in some crappy seats it will ruin the whole experience I think.'
I just want to be in decent seats among other NIU fans...not have the opposing team sitting right behind us like at the Wisky game.
I'm getting thread weary but I think I saw someone say that NIU will be offering $50 tickets...is that correct?

Don't think it was thru NIU...I think it was stub hub.

Hm. Interesting. A friend just told me he saw some online for $27. I'd obviously like to buy them through NIU but I don't know how much extra money I have to play with here. Honestly I'm not sure if I can even afford to go yet.
Going to very tough to convince people to buy tickets for this much when they're on stubhub for 20 and 30 bucks and supposedly available at the stadium for a 6 pack.

There are a ton of tickets on StubHub right now for $8...bleh
Where is everyone sitting? I really want to buy them through NIU and sit on the NIU side of tickets but geeze, it's really hard to buy these tickets at a VERY heavy premium when I can get them for $100 cheaper on stubhub.

Help?

Somebody needs to point this out to NIU. Considering how much this trip will cost per person...that is a significant difference.

Not even sure WHERE the designated NIU side is or what sections we have...that would be good to know I would think. 03-banghead

EDIT: Duh! from NIU..
"Where is the NIU section?
Fans who purchase tickets through the NIU Ticket Office will be located in the NIU Sections which are Sections 101-114 / 155-156 / 401-414/ 452-456. All seats are RESERVED. "
The bowl system sucks. Schools are held hostage. However the schools support the system. Thats their fault, and we are included. Buy your tickets for the best value you can find. Death to the BCS.
NIU has the northwest corner, sections 450 to 415 I believe
I got an email from the NIU Alumni Association that said tickets are $50...but for the pregame reception.

Are students selling their free tickets? Are they part of the 17,500?
I will be in Florida at Disney World for Christmas and New Years, so I only need transportation from Orlando to Miami which won't be bad, just need to rent a car. But if tickets are $75 each that is going to be tough for a family, but agree that I definitely want to be among NIU fans and support the school by purchasing them through NIU.

The other tough part is going to be getting back to Orlando leaving Miami at 1AM. My wife doesn't want to get a hotel, because we are already paying for one at Disney and since it is a package we cannot split it up.

They're making students pick up their tickets in Miami using their One Card to avoid this exact thing. I'm sure those are included in the 17,500. The good news is the MAC has already said they'll distribute the money in a way that NIU isn't going to risk taking a financial loss from the OB.
