Sorry was referring to people who said they were buying Monday. I thought I was the only sucker who bought 225 tickets.

For example, at Soldier Field I sat in the 200 level and could barely see the rest of the crowd. Great view of the game, but to me, I like being squished in with a bunch of other Huskies and being able to see the entire crowd. Again, just my opinion. I am going 100 level or 400 level, depending on my guest price range.

Much different it appears than SF. I have season tix 1st row 226 and the Media Deck starts 30 feet away. The overhang goes way to far, way to far back. Yes, you feel enclosed. The Cadillac 200 Level, lower 100's all the way in the back are terrible. Overhang way too low. You are right, it does take away.

These seem like you are at least in the open.

Hahahaha!!!! It's a group order. Fortunately, I'm only paying for 2 of them.
Thanks for posting the views from the seats. You are absolutely correct with the 200 level seating. Not like Soldier Field where you feel enclosed. Good to know.
We bought two at $165 from NIU. Glad to be able to support the university.
FWIW, I just order my tickets and the kid in the office said it was crazy busy this morning.

Ha I was about to start calling you ballin bob
I wonder if we are going to hear an update this week on how ticket sales are going?
the family and I just purchased 10 of the $155 tix from NIU. they told me they were gonna be upper deck. i keep hearing everyone is getting stubhub tix for a quarter of the price in the lower box. wtf....makes me sickkkk

with these prices i have a feeling that NIU is gonna have a real tough time selling vs stubhub. not sure others are going to be as stupid as me

Not stupid, supportive. We need more fans like you.

I agree it would be nice to get an update from the ticket window.

I have been strongly on the side of helping NIU by purchasing tickets through our school, but I have been rethinking this, and how can it be called supportive when there is such a discrepancy in prices?
I bought my tickets through StubHub... My parents wanted to get me a pair of the $250 tickets for my bday/christmas/hannukah/kwanza, but instead of doing that I told my parents to donate and buy five of the $99 tickets or buy a brick for the Chessick Center.

Not sure what they decided upon, but either way, NIU will still be supported.
Merry Christmas Athletic Department!
I don't want to say to NOT buy tickets from NIU, but in reality, if you are worried about NIU losing money, they will NOT.

They difference in sales vs. commitment may be well over 2 million, almost 3 perhaps. The MAC gets 8 million for the game. They have already said they will NOT let NIU take a loss. The conference still will see 4-5 million after costs to divide.

Perhaps, if not against NCAA rules, each school in the MAC can take a 50 or so and give to their administrators, coaches, whomever to go to the game.

Well, all except Toledo I guess.
We need to keep in mind that, in the future, bowl committees will take a long look at how many tickets were sold by NIU for the Orange Bowl. StubHub tickets purchased by NIU fans will not help at us at all.
Our MAC brethren are noticing that we are using this excuse to buy cheap tickets on stub hub rather than through NIU. This in effect passes the ticket guarantee cost through to the MAC.

Think what we'd be saying if Toledo were doing this.
