Seriously La Tech? I thought you guys had to have had something guaranteed to turn down the Indy Bowl, but if you really didn't and turned it down for no reason other than not wanting to play ULM your athletic department is poorly run.

Why was LaTech so against playing ULM?

They were offered, they just didn't want to play a rival that they think is beneath them...

Feel bad for the Coaches and Players...How in the world does an AD let this happen? If Dykes was not already going to leave I am certain he will be out of there now for sure.

I wonder if Dykes and staff are gone and were not going to coach the bowl?

I-Bowl was forcing an answer yesterday. NIU getting Orange Bowl bid today removed the other options we had. If we told I-Bowl no a second time today then I see a reason to get mad. If I-bowl just shut us out because they did not want to wait, then I am not going to get upset with our administration.

Sorry, but that really is a stupid move by Tech. I know its against Monroe, but who cares? Damn I wish UTEP was good enough to be playing in any bowl against anyone this season..

I wouldn't blame it on the athletic director. His hands are kind of tied.

I put this one squarely on the influential people in our fan base having too big an ego.

FWIW, I do know that NIU going to the Orange Bowl was what they were banking on NOT happening. If that was the case we get a bid to play Tulsa.

It's a really ****** up situation.
