Okay, you drunk football fans. I'll start this thread.

Score: Thornton 5, Palmore 2.
At the first break, Weirdos 11, Normal Dudes 8.
I guess that I'm the only one listening to this game. W&M up 16-14, with 11 left in the first half.
We're down 20-18, at the 8-minute break.
Just tuned in.
Sloppy 4 minutes. W&M 23, ODU 20.
WM 32 - ODU 31 at the half
At the half, W&M 32, ODU 31. Per radio, it sounds like the proactive players have been Palmore, Bacote and Batten. The reactive players have been Wright, Hill, Painter and Ross.
Can some tech savvy person tell me why so often on radio broadcasts there is dead air at times? It seems like it happens mostly when the announcer stops speaking for a second, you can tell its dead air cause you don't hear crowd noise or anything. Almost like the audio is voice activated. Any one know what I'm talking about ?

The absence of crowd noise is just due to the game being at Kaplan Arena.

No, I'm not noticing any dead air.
We're down, 48-42, with 10 or so to play.
Fire Blaine....no seriously this time.....enough is enough.

We lose to the freaking Tribe and we are staring a 6-7 win season right square in the face.

Pack your bags buddy.
So all the other times you weren't serious?
We are really bad.
We're down 8, with 8 to go.

Didn't we have a week to prepare for this one?

I didn't think it was a real possibility no because he was winning games despite running a poor offense the entire time, we just dominated offensive rebounding stats and made up for his poor offensive gameplans.

Now I think there is a real chance that we can finally can this joker, bring in a real coach that can recruit top level players and we can finally make the jump that many of us think this program is capable of instead of watching rock fight after rock fight, even if we were winning more than we were losing.

I'd rather watch exciting basketball and lose for a couple years until we land some bigger recruits than watch another Blaine Taylor rock fight the rest of my life.

Dead serious. He sets the game of basketball back 40 years every time one of his team's takes the court.

He had a team with Lee, Hassell, Cooper, Carter, Baze, Finney, James, Trian etc. and that team only managed 50 points against a crappy Notre Dame team in the NCAA tourney.

To have THAT MUCH offensive talent and only score 50 total points in a basketball game is in and of itself, nearly a fireable offense. Unreal.

Now we've sunk to the lowest level we've ever been at, losing at home to VMI and Holy Cross and now losing on the road to W&M??

He's gotta go. Period.
63-54. At least we're not Hofstra.

We only have one player arrested during any one season.
Ugh. Sorry that I started this thread.

C'mon, EverRespect, join in with me ... Kumbaya, my lord ....
Thank God for the football playoffs.

They may not have been caught yet, but we have a couple guys stealing on this team.........stealing scholarships anyways.

Ok, I apologize, that was out of bounds......but seriously, this isn't a "rebuilding year" because that would mean we are "building" towards something.

We currently have ZERO viable big men and will return ZERO viable big men in a system that is built around having outstanding bigs.

Taylor sucks, his system sucks, his offensive gameplan or lackthereof sucks, we just lost to W&M after trailing from start to finish, likewise against VMI and Holy Cross.....our only win is against Morgan State by a couple of points and we are well on our way to the worst season in ODU History because Blaine cannot recruit.

End this now, put ODU fans out of their misery, bring in a real coach who can land big recruits and not just guys who fit a "system" that doesn't even really work.

1 NCAA tourney win in 17 years (by 1 freaking point, 50-49 against a VERY overrated Notre Dame team) as a head coach is not the track record of a "proven winner", he has just simply gotten good at getting us there and then coming up short.

Now we are so far from "there" we might as well be in Siberia. In fact, I think that might be where our next project big man comes from. Go get em Blaine.....and seriously, take your time looking for him. Like at least a decade.
