Any Candidates in mind?
Rod Carey?
Hopefully some one that stays more than 2 years!
Craig Bohl of North Dakota State? His age could possibly keep him at NIU until he retires.

Seriously??? If we were going to take another MAC coach, Id go for Lembo from Ball St. Or Campbell from Toledo but he isnt going anywhere
I'd be fine with keeping Rod Carey as HC, especially if he does a good job in the bowl game. The guy did a fantastic job with our O-line.

If we were doing a search, I'd like for us to get Bob Diaco, but he's probably waiting for an AQ head-coaching job.

Ok. Then how about Lee Corso? 05-stirthepot
I coached a 1st place peewee team. Am I qualified? I'll take an 80k salary, and I won't leave until I die. I'll let Lynch call the plays
P.J. Fleck? 03-wink

Tuke?

Please hire him! 04-bow
I just hoped he's someone close to as good as Doeren. I personally have no problem with hiring a coach who dominated as much as him, went 23-4, 2 conference championships in 2 years, and was offered a number of BCS jobs. Isn't this exactly the type of coach that we want? Would you rather have someone like Terry Bowden to sit there for 6 years at NIU, be mediocre. Or would you have someone with the drive to get the best out of players. Even if he is just "using" us a stepping stone. Hey, it works both ways you know. We got the 2 greatest combined years in NIU history and we all had the times of our lives this season and last night. I hope our next coach is close to as successful as that, or even better. Here's to finishing this season off right, and getting next year's BCS campaign started with a pre-season ranking.
