Still impressed with UAB. Never quit and the 3's were falling.
Rice wins - our first D1 win of the year. We're playing this year with just 7 scholarship players and I'd say the average height of the 7 is about 6-2 or 6-3 at best. But we're playing hard and giving it our all every game. If we had played this hard last year, we would have been an NCAA team instead of the CVIT. Get us while you can this year because we'll definitely be back on the upswing next year.

I agree. UAB did not back down and played a fun style.
Tulane gets less than impressive win, shooting under 30% but still winning by 10. Little inside presence and no one was hot from the 3 line.
Southern Miss loses to New Mexico State and its 7' 5" freshman 68-60.

I'm not one to ***** about officiating, but those refs were atrocious. We were whistled for a foul for looking harshly at the other team while they could bump us without a call. 24 fouls to 12. There were two traveling calls that were anything but traveling.

Despite all of that, we could've won if Brooks hadn't gone 0-11. NMSU shot 56.8% to our 35.7%. We must've missed six or seven easy put backs.
