Lets see what others think.
I am picking between 10-15 but going to low end maybe 12.
I sure as hell hope I am way off.
I project 4-9 OOC, 12-6 in conference so 16-15, win 1 game at tourney so 17-16.
11

Vote in the poll above then. Option 2.
I am saying 16. I am being optimistic and hoping that we improve and can win a lot of conference games because the next month is going to be tough.
I'm being optimistic here and saying between 15-17 wins (would love to see more than this), mostly because of our weak conference schedule/lack of Belmont.
16 or 17. The conference sucks
15+ only because the A-Sun is terrible
Mercer and FGCU seem to be the only teams with a pulse in the league this year, and weak ones at that.
I think we're going to win the league. I mean that with all sincerity.

Jacksonville played Georgia a whole lot closer then we did 68-62.

I like your optimism.
no way we beat fgcu, mercer, or upstate. we probably lose to lipsom too. who knows about any one else

heres the thing. for all those on heere that want bartow gone better hope for as few wins as posible. if bucs get 16 wins and a conf torny win, its tough to fire a coach that delivers winning season after seseon after season
Lest anyone thinks I've consumed too much ETSU kool aide, here's why I think we'll win the league this year:

1) We're defending, and defending well. In 4 games (I discarded the Milligan game), we're holding teams to 64 ppg. Our offense has been sputtering, but if we continue to defend like this, we'll put ourselves in a position to win every game.

2) We're a solid defensive rebounding team, and a very good offensive rebounding team. Walton, Wilson, and Harris are collectively pulling down 19 boards a game. Hunter Harris is 3rd in the league right now in offensive rebounds (3.2 pg)

3) Jarvis' Jones return will help our offensive woes. Although he is not the panacea for our offensive struggles, he brings range and experience. Having two shooters like Lester and Jarvo will open up some things inside.

4) Lester Wilson-He's currently leading the league in scoring in 19.4 ppg. Heading into league play, Lester will no longer be a secret, but if he can score 20 against Virginia Tech and 12 against UGA, then I don't thin ASUN teams will be able to stop him.

5) Hunter Harris & KGG-From very early indications, these guys are not like our last few juco duds. They'll continue to get better as the season goes on.

6) Belmont is gone. It pains me to say it, but they would've won again this year. Mercer and Upstate (and an emerging JU) are good, but have significant weaknesses--like us.
In addition to Mercer and Upstate, I think Lipscomb might be underrated. I saw they beat TTU 80-64 tonight.
There are three basic ways to look at the schedule.

The Optimist - "The Little Team That Could"

Wins
@ Charleston Southern
Milligan
@ James Madison

Miami/Hawaii
@ Northern Kentucky
@ Lipscomb
Stetson

@ North Carolina
@ Ole Miss
Arizona
DHC Game 3
VCU
@ Mercer
@ USC Upstate
@ Florida Gulf Coast

20-11 (15-3), NIT berth to fall back on

The kids dig deep, Jones gets cleared to play and gives us a major spark, we go on a roll and get, at the very least, an NIT berth. Bartow is hailed as a miracle worker and can basically write his own contract unless he wins <10 games the next year. We all have ludicrously high expectations for 2013-14.

The Realist - "The Kids Got Tired"

Wins
@ Charleston Southern

12-19 (8-10), Likely bounced in the first round of the tournament

Jones is cleared to play but doesn't do much, and the kids show potential, but the team ultimately wears out from being down three players the length of the season. We could pull out a surprising win here or there simply on flashes of brilliance from guys like Wilson and Rembert, but ultimately we bow out early. We all marvel at the potential and have ludicrously high expectations for 2013-14. Bartow might or might not return.

The Pessimist - "The Bartow Dismissal Master Plan"

Wins
@ Charleston Southern
Milligan
@ Kennesaw State
Jacksonville

Losses
@ Virginia Tech

6-25 (3-15), Miss the tournament

Jones doesn't return, the ankle bothers KGG all year, we might lose McClain for some stretch of time to his knee, and the team basically quits by mid-January and wants the season to be over. Bartow is fired less than 48 hours after the season ends. Because of the new coach, we all have ludicrously high expectations for 2013-14.
That may be one of the better posts I've ever seen on here, kudos! LOL @ the repetative "ludicrously high expectations for 2013-14".
Very witty, Mister-Loved it!
great post mister.

i am a realist and the odds makers have the over/under at 10 wins. i think thats a great number and i will put a little cash on the under. for me, the big money is on murray not returning next year.
I think we will win right around 10 games this year, maybe a few less. But I think Murry returns as long as Mullins returns.
