I think, even without a head coach, we could beat NMU. I am looking forward to this. I just wish they remembered to print it on the schedule. Hopefully it will be on ESPN3.
Can't wait to see Bozeman's first big hit on NMU.
Question: If the football team were to play hockey (assuming they can all skate), who would be the net-minder?

I'm rooting for Kent State.
I'm rooting for NIU. I want to see NIU win and go to a BCS Bowl, even though their chances are smaller to get to #16.
NIU would represent the MAC better. Kent is a well executing team for the talent they have -- but they have relied on turnovers to capture wins. And while that is legit & good -- turnover margin -- it's not by overpowering & being better -- so it being SO high in their favor is luck, and when you win games by not big margins (which NIU does win by big margins usually), that's what has made the difference between Kent being 11-1 vs 7-4.
NIU would have a better shot at taking out a BCS team like Louisville. :) Everyone in the MAC got to smack around a Big East team -- I'd like to see NIU have a chance at it! Of course, the MAC team may face the ACC champs, I dunno. Either way, NIU is a better team, game to game.
Hopefully they can prove it! However, if NIU does NOT have a chance to go to the BCS bowl but Kent does -- I root for Kent. But I think NIU has a shot.
IMO, NIU is a stronger team but can lose this one if they turn the ball over - as many other MAC teams have learned. Many of those TOs have been kind of flukish plays, where a ball bounces off a WR and right into the hands of the defender. But luck has always been a factor in games and KSU has been lucky, both with that and with not being hit with a huge rash of injuries this season.
I probably will be silently rooting for KSU because they have a much better chance to go to a BCS bowl than NIU. Jerry Palm says that it is nearly impossible for NIU to jump all the way to 16, even with a blowout win. I want to see major props for the league and a CHANCE for one of our teams to line up against a perceived major heavyweight like FSU in the Orange Bowl. Then let the fun start. The 'little engine that could' might then just surprise most all college football fans. It would be a day worth commemorating and celebrating within the MAC.
Mostly I want is to see a great game, full of exciting big plays - one that showcases the MAC for the nation and a potential record TV audience. NOT a sloppy game which will give the BCS naysayers any reason to bash the league as not worthy.
But, I do agree that NIU would probably have the best chance of WINNING a BCS bowl game.
Am going to miss most of the game because of the hockey game!! :(
Better choice IMO. WMU hockey is money.

I agree but of all the games this weekend I don't have want to miss that game.
I'll have hockey on the laptop and the football game on tv.
