Impressed by this article which one of the few that have been positive.

Gotta tell Clawson the MAC isn't composed entirely of land-grant schools.

I appreciate Sussman's work at Hustle Belt but he needs to understand how to better speak of the MAC when dealing with a non-MAC audience, his matter-of-factness came across as harsh and belittling. dissapointing.

I agree. Hard enough when everything else is stacked against us and then our own is too. Like the Miami fans with OSU hats. Really?

That's how Suss rolls. His opinion of the conference isn't really that high.

Bull-In-Exile, can you start a MAC blog on SB Nation along with UBBullRun and then we can ignore Sussman's Hustle Belt? He is kind of a Trojan Horse at this point. Or the Red and Black Attack (Maroon Musket just doesn't have the MAC history down yet)?

Lots of positive MAC coverage during the Louisville-Rutgers game with Mark May talking about how Jordan Lynch should be a Heisman finalist, etc. Both of the ESPN pundits picked NIU to win the MACC. Now, let's hope the Orange Bowl reps see a pretty decent crowd at Ford Field.

I would not at all be opposed to putting a site together to compete with Hustle Belt. Probably would have to go somewhere other than SB Nation, though.

Bull-In-Exile, can you start a MAC blog on SB Nation along with UBBullRun and then we can ignore Sussman's Hustle Belt? He is kind of a Trojan Horse at this point. Or the Red and Black Attack (Maroon Musket just doesn't have the MAC history down yet)?

Suss is who he is. The guy is the king of self deprecating humor he does it both to himself and to the conference.

What Matt has done is open up Hustle Belt to anyone interested in contributing. Some of his stable are pretty enthusiastic MAC fans.

Have to agree. Presentation matters. Of course they got his name wrong too...

Anyway, good article. First half should be something that is making the rounds in Ohio papers...but isn't.

BTW, are any MAC schools land grant? Maybe Clawson is ready to move up to the Big 10.
