Looking forward to 2014 and beyond!
I like MTSU and I'll like WKU if they are added.

I really hope WKU gets added.
Not me. I don't really like any of the new additions thus far. None of it makes sense. Should have stayed at 12 to see what happen with the Big East before adding these schools.
Doesn't matter.. World ends December 21st.

We know, we know.

You've posted in every thread about the new teams saying the exact same thing.

That would make sense. Or you can just go for the kill on the SBC, and put it away for good. Or at least to the bottom of FBS for good.

We could have waited a little while to see what shakes out at the Big East level before adding these schools. There absolutely should have been no rush to add these schools with the instability of the Big East. Where would these schools have gone?

probably no where but no since in beating the addtions up it is what is. this is far from over and maybe trying to give the belt some time to replace these teams. Maybe commish knows utep going to mwc and maybe rice even who knows sure there is a reason.

I'm not beating any of the new additions up. Its nothing personal against those schools....I just don't agree with what CUSA is doing.

I think the answer is they wouldn't have come. If CUSA loses USM, UAB, Tulsa, and Marshall somehow, MT would probably have said thanks but no thanks. Doing it this early gets them in and if defections happen the deed is already done.

Hey if the world is going to end on my birthday, that's all the more reason to have a party. Go out in style baby!!!! 04-cheers
If USM and Tulsa stay (though selfishly I hope USM finds its way into the BE) you will retain 2 of the top teams (probably THE top 2 teams). You got rid of a couple of football cellar dwellers in Memphis and Tulane and are bringing in some solid basketball programs. La Tech was as good in football as anyone in C-USA this year. I think everyone should end up fairly happy (as happy as you can be in the current landscape of college football) when this round of realignment is over.

^^^THIS!

CUSA is expecting more defectors. The question is how many and who.

I think the Big East additions yesterday solidified a core group that will survive any likely defections. Temple, Navy, ECU, UCF, USF, Tulane, Memphis, Houston and SMU are decent base to build on even if they lose UofL, Cincy, UConn, Boise & SDSU. At that point Marshall, ODU, Charlotte, USM and Tulsa would jump. I don't see how, with that core group anyone comes back. More likely we would go too. So CUSA additions protect us if we are not called. ECU leaving really changed the game.

Probably so. The conference office wants to add the strongest programs they can now, so that if they lose more programs the Sunbelt won't be able to finish off C-USA. Might not be in the C-USA schools' best interests, but it keeps the employees of C-USA in jobs.
