so now who does the Big East add? UAB? Rice?

Not USM or Marshall? Why not NMSU
ECU for all sports now and then 3 Western Schools (out of Tulsa - Fresno - UNLV - Utah State - AIr Force - Nevada)

BYU stays independent.
Once Cincy and UConn leave, you can expect the non-football schools to spin off.

One of the greatest traditions (BE Tournament @ MSG) is dead.
only louisville?
The difference between Nbe and CUSA continues to diminish. The difference between Nbe and BCS grows geometrically.

The original nBe folks don't believe that will happen. I'm with you. I don't know why they don't break off, convince Temple to put football back in the MAC, and convince the top tier A-10 teams along with Temple to form a new basketball conference.
I get that football is more money, but none of these parochial teams are football based, and you could argue that Temple isn't really football based. So why not?
I still you guys should take MT, WKU, Troy and South Bama.

I think that the ACC is conducting a meeting this morning that started at 7:00 to vote on expansion. Something official should be coming later today/this morning.

Even if the two that have signed on do not stick around, I don't see the other schools in the MWC making the jump at this point. The money from the television contract is unknown and they are not guaranteed a home for their other sports. I don't know much about the Big West, but they may not have spots available for all the western teams the BE is looking at.
ACC needs to go ahead and add UCONN & Cincy also, so Boise & San Diego St can decide to go back to MWC
