Really really love it.

Totally unexpected move, too.
Tulane's football program wasn't that bad before Katrina. That damned hurricane and a bad hire really hurt them. With the money being put into the program now, I have no reason to think they will be a dumpster fire going forward.
They can and should turn it around.
They were discussed as a Big 12 candidate less than a year ago.
cheers to Tulane, a class act
04-cheers
thanks for the love! our fans are great and our history fun, happy to be here
We get to build on our ten year winning streak on them... whoopee.
Tulane has real upside potential. That may be hard to digest considering our lack of success in Football of late but there is reason to believe.

Tulane cares about Football first. We're building a stadium on-campus that will be appropriate for our program. We hired a coach with local connections who can really recruit. Already we're attracting SEC-caliber talent and that figures to improve with this move. TU Football has had it's moments, highlighted by a 12-0, #7 finish in 1998. What the school lacked was a successful coach who stuck around and actually built something. A good coach can have real success at Tulane.

The only people who should be concerned with the Tulane invite are those who were hoping for a B12 invite themselves, cause Tulane could pull a TCU on everyone now.
If they have 2 good years they are gone. They were really close last year with UT leading the charge.
It's interesting, and that's something in itself given the dour, depressing nature of all of this. Now the ACC needs to cap off the WTF Round of realignment by adding Navy and no one else. Troll ALL the fan bases.
As depressed as I was watching our football game a couple weeks ago due to the environment there; Tulane did go undefeated in the not so distant past so they do have the capability to do very well.

You can't use our attendance now to reflect our potential. We do have a dormant fan base. But we've had like ten losing seasons in a row and PEOPLE HATE THE SUPERDOME.

There is just no reason for us to be there anymore. That is why we are building this in the heart of our campus. It will be opening in 2014. Approximately 30k capacity.

This!

There's a reason they were discussed. But that's all been hashed out.

Ill certainly visit their new stadium for Big East action.

In Aresco I trust.
Watch the Tulane money start to pour out.

Tulane + money - New Orleans + Dallas = SMU
I am warming up to Tulane.

They are probably much like the Aztecs, only Tulane has more recent success (in the decade).
I'm really glad that Tulane is in the Big East now. NOLA is a great place to visit and I enjoy seeing their fans come to the LB to play the Tigers.
By what possible metric is Tulane a better add than UNLV for football/market/etc?
