Conference RPI keeps climbing!
Well this is a nightmare. I'm not upset about losing Tulane or ECU, but it's the thought of being in a league where everyone is jumping ship and we're getting left behind. Then you throw in the fact that if the stadium had been approved, it'd be UAB getting the invite to the Big East instead of Tulane.

I know the Big East is quickly changing too w/UL, Cinci, and UCONN all looking to leave, but we'd at least be in a conference with what is basically the current CUSA instead of being in a conference which is quickly resembling the Sunbelt.
Terrible time to be w/o a president too. Marchase is in way over his head on this one.
The old Sunbelt conference was pretty good in basketball & didn't have any football playing schools at the time.

A lot of those schools now play or will play football at this level.

Now it may have a chance of being decent in football & as well being a manageable drive for away games.

If the Big 5 conferences have their way, everyone is going to be left behind.

The question then is are we going to also be a right behind?

Is Solomon the biggest dumb f*** around or what?

Mentioning UAB should jump ship for the Sun Belt.

I'm afraid so.

It's not as dumb of a statement as it used to be.

Not worth paying a buyout though.
Think Television dollars & contracts, bowl tie ins, conference championship games, etc.

Now, we may end up with a few more Sun Belt schools in the conference, but that isn't totally the end of the world.

There will be no tv dollars for this conference.

Link?
There still will be for the next few years which is better than none, IMO.

I've long thought Sun Belt makes sense. RT @Ronnie_Hagood With C-USA raided again, should UAB try to move somewhere before C-USA goes poof?
DO NOT LINK.

F That guy!

I am not clicking on any of his ****. That's exactly what that ******* wants.

FN Bottomfeeder.

I think people are upset at the ridiculousness of adding Tulane and ECU over Tulsa... Tulane was the last school I thought would be asked to join...

No. That would be us. 03-weeping
It isn't a column, but a tweet.

Now that I think of it, how in the hell am I still following him?

Unfollow upcoming.

Edit: Noticed I am not following him, it is just a retweet from Drew.
This makes me sick

The B1G has 14. The SEC has 14. Will the ACC follow suit? If so, wouldn't they go ahead and take Louisville, Cincy, and UConn to make 14?

If so, wouldn't that leave the Big East with 10 football members? So they would need two more teams at least. Also, does anyone think San Diego State and Boise State are going to stay with the BE for the long term? That could trim them to 8. Eventually, the Big East will come calling on USM and UAB, and we will go because the old C-USA partners are better than the Sunbelt partners in general.

The ACC has 13 with the additions of Pitt and Syracuse. There will be a 14th team, and it will be either Louisville or Connecticut.

My fault. Still, UConn could go to the ACC and L-ville and/or Cincy to the Big 12. OR FSU and Clemson to the Big 12 and then the ACC takes L-ville and Cincy. Either way, the Big East could be looking for more schools and the pickings are slim. We are a school that those schools have associated with in the past, so they would not feel like they were "stooping down" to take us, at least not as badly as taking other schools.

His tweet just proves he doesn't think.
