This is the first time in 20 years that VT hasn't had a first team all conference pick.

Honestly, I'm not sure we deserved a first team player this year. I feel lucky that we got 3 2nd team players.

Yeh, we weren't good this year.

I am comforted in the fact that in our worst season in 20 years we made a bowl game, beat UVA, and were one game from going to the championship again. Things could definitely be worse.

We certainly have 1st team players, all of whom underperformed. I think Taylor is an easy All ACC, though I understand coming off an injury. Marcus Davis has most of the tools to have been All ACC, but the kid is just lazy and has been his whole career. Gayle could have been All ACC, but like the rest of the D, never lived up to its potential.

I don't think he's lazy. He just has very poor football instincts. He's continually not putting the ball in the correct hand and fumbling the ball. Eventhough we may only have 2 quality WR next year, I'll be glad to see Marcus graduate.
