Despite great recruiting, Pastner just hasn't been spectacular. Isn't this hiw every Pastner season thus far has started? High preseason rankings and then a few "surprising" losses (not sure why they're still a suprise).
Not to mention that UNI can play

Pastner is a great recruiter and a good coach. What he doesn't have is respect, from his players, or his fans. You don't hire Peter Brady and immediately expect him to be John Wooden.

Watch a Memphis game. He has absolutely no respect from the prima Donna players. Part of the problem is recruiting locally. These players have all of their friends and mentors and neighborhood guys questioning their coach and his decisions.
Pastner is a nice guy, works hard, and doesn't curse. The players he is recruiting doesn't respect that.

They can get Davis real cheap.
