I won't be surprised if Memphis loses to Northern Iowa tomorrow.
This is a much better conference than CUSA. We are picked 5th or 6th in CUSA. Shouldn't be surprised to lose to their two best teams.
We will get better.

KenPom has us finishing tied for 9th.
MVC is very good. I have been high on that league for a while.

MVC is a good league. A-10 and CAA have also been pretty good, though CAA has now been weakened with VCU and ODU leaving.
UAB has been projected 8th-9th by most prognosticators I've seen. And the more I see, the less I believe UAB will finish that low. Memphis and Marshall were 2 of the favorites, and both have somewhat struggled.
KenPom4UAB has the A-10 ranked 8th, MVC 9th, C-USA 11th, and CAA 16th.
By the way, projections now have the MVC finishing as follows.
Creighton 14-4
Wichita State 13-5
Illinois State 12-6
Northern Iowa 11-7
For two former C-USA schools that moved on to the Little East, South Florida and DePaul are projected to tie for last place.
On the other hand, Louisville is projected to finish 1st, Cincinnati 4th, and Marquette to tie for 6th.
As the year goes along we will improve as a team, kind of like Anderson's first year. The future looks very bright I think.

Oh, I agree with you. Plus we have already signed five players for next season.
What's interesting is that our strength of schedule in Haase's first year is setting up to be much better than we thought. If our conference mates can stay above 200, we could be in great shape with 20 regular season wins.
I expect us to seriously challenge (if not finish) in the top 4 in the league. I think the conference race will be high-drama this year, and to paraphrase Watson, the conference champ could have 5-6 losses.
