This is a trap game imo and if SMU doesn't go bowling, June Jones may be under heavy pressure to either change his coaching approach or be gone. A damaged coach is like a wounded animal and will fight like it is for survival - literally.
TU has a dismal record in Dallas against the Mustangs and they have dominated Houston, which is a litmus test for their talent IMO. There has even been some talk of us holding out a player or two because they are a little bruised up and could use a little time off. That shows that the team may not be focussed well and might be used as a motivation tool for our opponent.
With TU not having a lot to play for and SMU having "everything" to play for, this normally easy win might turn into a dogfight. I think it will. But in the end, I think we'll barely pull it out and go into the championship undefeated. But a close win is on tap for us.
Lets hope this game doesn't go into overtime.
