WKU's season as turned into a train wreck!
Thank Taggart for the gift, all we had to do was get a few inches to put the game away...The way we had been running the ball no way we did not get 6 inches vs. our defense which had not really stopped ULL all night besides getting turnovers......We dominated the game offensively, unfortunate once again our defense came in small in the end like they have all season...What a disappointment with the way we started the season...What has been the biggest SBC teams collapse before WKU's second half collapse this season?

Gifts? Friend there were plenty of gifts on both sides... Domination on offense?? HAHA!! UL had 580+ yards.. Y'all werent close to that. Some of your fans made the trip and taigated with us,,,good people..I am sure you are too

Andrews is a beast! But UL doesn't turnover the ball four times, they win by 14 at least. The only thing stopping UL's offense was the turnovers, I was shocked how bad WKU looked on defense.

Forced turnovers on three, and a batch receiver qb route on another. The Toppers did indeed cause one interception, and two recovered fumbles. No doubt we were having a hard time slowing number 5, and unless there would have been a bad handoff they get that final first down. Thanks Taggert, I am sure he simply did not want Baer within 25 yards of a tying field goal.
This is punishment for beating Ryan Aplin this year, he placed a curse on the WKU defense.
Our defense has looked worse and worse since the Monroe game. Tonight was no different. No qb pressure, bad coverage, terrible tackling, and stupid penalties. We are not a bowl team.

I agree. Since the ULM game the wheels have fallen off the wagon. The defense has got worse each game and the offense has become predictable. All Taggart does is look at the play sheet to see what running play for Andrews and shows no emotion. Jakes can usually hit his main target but if they are covered it's panic time. I'm ready for the Jakes era to be over. Finishing 6 & 6 and sitting at home will be hard to accept after starting 5-1 and showing a lot of promise. Appears it all was a facade built on a weak schedule. If I was a Arkansas State fan I would be scratching my head and wondering how in the hell did we lose to such a mediocre team.

Thanks for the kind words, but going bowling will depend on two things at this point- 1) winning next weekend, which I think is a long shot at this point. 2) we'll have to see what teams are bowl eligible and what conferences can fulfill their obligations.
I'm not even trying to be the voice of doom and gloom here, but from watching this weekend, it looks like our defensive players have all but given up, so I really have a hard time thinking we'll win next weekend.

I really hope this is sarcasm.
The defense lost the game last night for sure, but Jakes is still a liability. He can't throw down field to save his life, which allows the defense to stack the box. The one game we could throw down field (ASU), was the one game he wasn't playing in. Not that you're that interested, but if you get a chance to watch the WKU-ASU game again, notice the difference in the number of ASU defenders in the box in the first half versus the second half...
Good kid, good leader, but not a good QB.
