THIS. 04-cheers

NO EXCUSE.
Actually isn't this what some or most figured our record would be this year. 3-9 or 2-10. I think we just got to pumped up on the sunshine talk. It would be nice to beat one team that is leaving.
Agree. I really question McGee's intelligence in a performance such as this. Why he continues to stick with Brown is beyond me. I understand the principle of wanting to take your licks and get a freshman QB ready to lead, but Brown is simply awful. He isn't even staying at the same level, but actually regressing as a QB.

No excuse, McGee. Terrible coaching performance all the way around.
He said in his postgame that he sensed this could happen before the game started, but he didn't take the steps needed to stop it before the game got out of hand. It was lost in the first quarter. I told y'all, everyone UAB plays in football, especially conference foes, play their best games of the season against the Blazers. This one was more embarrassing than the 72-10 ass-whipping taken at the hands of Southern Miss a few years ago.

To lose at "home" like this on Senior Day? Unacceptable!
He needs to get his foot out of his ass & play Perry.

We were handcuffed with Austin not being able to move.
He sacrificing wins today with the hopes of winning later. This is one game that we as fans wanted to win now... Regardless.

Definitely.

Marshall didn't.

& UAB's opponents, especially in the Conference, know this. I was screaming for Coach to put Perry in, but he just simply refused. I can't wait till his next news conference, I wonder if anyone from the local sports media will ask him "the question?"
It's difficult to play well on offense when your QB is injured. Brown can't even plant his back foot when throwing a long ball.

I don't understand the strategy of keeping an injured QB out on the field.

The offensive line was overmatched by the defensive line of Memphis, and consequently the running game struggled as well.

The offense just stunk!

We just lost to a team with two wins, coming into the game, 46-9.

Wow!

Totally embarrassing!

that has to be it...hope it pays off next year and beyond...but it really SUCKS this year.
The blocked punt in the first half was a case where our punter move to the right, precisely where the onslaught on defensive players were.

Ridiculous!
At some point in time as a team & coaching staff, you have to own up to things.

No, nobody is showing up for the games.

But give a damn about something.
Give people a reason to get excited.
Give them a reason to show up.

& turn off the damn music. We are getting our asses kicked & they play the damn bell ****.

This! That sound system in that place is beyond atrocious!!! Even moreso in a damn near empty stadium.
I just pray we can look back at this Saturday as the low point of McGee's coaching career at UAB.
i find it hard to believe we will be any better next year or the year after. Its a reoccurring mentality for uab players to come out of the locker room and not give a 01-rivals. No effort whatsoever in the game today.
Hard to be optimistic about next season when McGee seems determined to play Brown even when all reasonable minds can conclude he isn't getting the job done. Add to that the fact you lose an amazing player on defense who seemed to be the only consistent guy on defense the last several years. Burdette deserved better than this.

Hard to look towards a brighter future losing games like that. But Memphis seems to be weathering the storm alright. Jury's still out on UAB.

Pretty decent-sized number of traveling fans on hand for this one. This is what our players and fans have to learn in order to get better, but damn it, winning the games you should as a team speaks huge volumes.
