Tonight's only nBE game is The Hoyas at home vs. Liberty at 7p airing on ESPN3. For Liberty, there are no more Curry brothers on this team and they are the definition on an early season warm-up game...a tomato can. But the Hoyas are young so you never know.
To date the nBE has only lost 1 game (Actually 2 but one loss was UCF over USF). As a comparison the nACC has already lost 5 games with 2 fewer league teams.
13-4 Hoyas at the 14 min mark. Liberty severely overmatched by the these big gtown dudes.
Super soph Otto Porter is in a suit tonight after concussion in Monday's game.
After Libery scored the games first 4 points, the Hoyas have scored the next 17. 12 mins to go in the half.

Liberty's started to hit a few three's but still trail 21-13 at the under 8 timeout.
Big time Freshman D'vauntes Smith-Rivera with the nice and 1 got the Hoyas up 28-18 with 5 to go.

Top 100 recruit Stephen Domingo with his first career points on a smooth jumper. Hollis Thompson part 2! He should be a star before he graduates, was a junior but moved up a grade over the summer so he's pretty young.

Hoyas lead at the half 41-25. The 6-7 Freshman Domingo put energy into the game late. But the story for the Hoyas is the frontline. Lubick, Whittington & Hopkins combined for 28 of the hoyas 41 points. For liberty the 5 threes they hit have kept this from being a straight skunking...

These liberty guys are shooting threes like the ghost of seth curry is in the house. 47-30 hoyas 16 to go.
I can't remember the last time I saw a team shoot the three so well (liberty 6 of 9) while getting absolutely clocked on the scoreboard. 50 30- gtown with 15 mins left in the half.
Even though this game is a public flogging of a bonafide tomato can, it's good experience for a team with no seniors, 5 jrs, 5 sophs & 5 freshman....Hoyas 55-32 with 12 left.
55-35 12 mins left. Hoyas shooting 58% so far & already have 14 assists in the game.
To be "somewhat" fair to liberty they are missing their all-confernce senior- some dude- who is out with injury. 56-40 hoyas...
