Coach Beckman wouldn't let him be a position coach when he took over. After coaching DBs for Coach Amstutz, Beckman would only let him stay on as a glorified GA. He then got out of coaching and is doing some things with medical sales.

Yeah, I figured that's what it was. No one from the Amstutz era was to be trusted after Scootergate. Coach Campbell needs to tap Andy Boyd. He is a quality person and knows what is going on out there. He was a great FS. Not the biggest, not the fastest, but it seemed like he was always where the play was and, if it depended on him, he always made the play.
I know that being a former Rocket and bleeding Midnight Blue and Gold doesn't necessarily translate into being a successful coach, but I really think he deserves a chance, that is if he would want it.
